The aim of the STOP project is to find a more effective treatment for the treatment of intestinal worms, also called soil-transmitted helminths.
The Wellcome Sanger Institute will use whole genome sequencing to identify novel genetic variants which predict treatment resistance, and to explore the gut microbiome and its role in the pharmacokinetics and efficacy of anthelmintics.
